We now have the makeup of the ticket of the FIRST CORPORATION WHICH IS RUNNING FOR THE PRESIDENCY OF THE UNITED STATES. (What you say? Ah, don't forget, Corporations are people, so what is to prevent them for running for the highest office in the land?)
I take my hat off the to the Republican Party for sticking to their principles and announcing so openly that they are ready to stick their principles to the rest of us!
The takeover by The Neo/Theocon Tea-haddists is now complete in the Republican Party and they are cruising to an election where they hope and intend to impose their sharia like ideas on the rest of us. Best of all, they intend to impose a corporation as presidency in this historic move. That would mean gutting the Constitution, but Conservapedia has been busy rewriting that, along with that other socialist book, The Bible, so nothing to worry about there. And they have their buddies on the Supreme Court who have a penchant for fixing elections, so they can now assert this bold move!
As if there were any doubt, this bold vp pick has sealed the case that the extremists are in charge. In fact, it is the Corporations that are in charge. In addition to what they will tell you they will do: gut Medicare and Social Security, be assured that WAR is not far behind. They need a perpetual war to reward their corporate buddies and make massive profits and distract the public from the further looting and pillaging they plan. (see "1984" and 'Brave New World.") Who knows this may be the first completely outsourced war? (What could possibly go wrong with that scenario?)
Today we can laugh all we want at this ludicrous pick. But we take them lightly to our detriment. There are a lot of hurdles we face in re-electing the President, which we must focus upon.
A few of these are:
1) This election will be decided by those who are officially 'undecided.' (Ok I just won't go there imagining what has been going on in the head of those people for the past 12 years!)
2) We will have the very ugly hand of BigReligion. Christian fundamentalists have united against everybody else. The Roman Catholic Church hierarchy has decided to become a very vocal arm of the Republican Party joining their counterparts, the Radical Christian Evangelicals. These folks will be contributing gobs of money and endorsements to the "RRR, Inc 2012" ticket. And, ahem, ordering their 'flock' under pain of damnation to vote for them! Besides they all want the Apocalypse to come as soon as possible, so they are gunning for a fight. (pardon the pun.) Who cares about such things as Climate Change? Just another sign of the 'second coming' and to be welcomed! Certainly not tampered with.
3) Through the help of ALEC, the voter roles are being purged; can this sufficiently be rectified by November? And I have not heard a whimper of the Diebold machines being scrutinized or objections made to the non-verifiable accounting system being removed from use in the upcoming election.
4) And finally, last but not least, we have billionaires who are now in a position to buy the White House, Congress and Supreme Court. But why do they want to do it? Because they want to finally install a Corporation to run the Government. In true Ayn Rand fashion.
This is what is going on in this nomination.
We all have had a lot of fun and chuckles as Mitt the Romney crashed and burned in Londinium, where the Brits have unanimously gotten the gold in the first Olympic competition: "Criticizing the Mittster." It has been fun to watch and a huge relief from the usual 'sturm und drang' we normally have to shovel through when dealing with the Party of Alternate Reality.
However, as tempting as it may be, don't be fooled into a derisive self complacency as Mitt Romney, the best face that the Republicans could agree on for president, flubbed and floundered his way all the way from Anglo-Saxonia through Europe and Israel, back home again, all the way to the Republican Convention. The Republican's really couldn't care less if he took off all his clothes and walked naked the rest of this campaign. They would simply get on Fux and compliment his sartorial style and attack anyone who thought otherwise as a socialist.
Why? Because the Republican's are not fielding a 'person' for president. (I know, I know... here come the robot jokes, which I enjoy, by the way, but that's not my point.) Mitt, the personbot, is not the point. He is the face of a Conglomerate Corporation (probably a multinational conglomerate, at that,) that is trying to take over the presidency in the first overt hostile takeover of the government of the United States.
Rather Mitt Romney is the front man and Paul Ryan and Ayn Rand, are the sidekicks, for a corporation determined to bring a Libertarian Unregulated Paradise to the 1% and a Feudal Theocratic Fascism to the 99%. That's how those things work. The Plutocracy gets to do anything they want and the rest of us, get to do very little of what we want.
Although he is a very adept 'vulture capitalist', he hasn't a clue as a politician. Rather, he is the 'front man', the 'puppet' of a group of politicians who are determined to bring "Republican Corps" to the United States and so cripple its electoral system, that it will be a permanent installment. But that's what the corporations want: a vulture capitalist to come in an dismantle the government, its programs and protections. He's got lots of experience there. So, his Bain experience uniquely qualifies him for their real purpose of this corporate presidency. And now he has Paul Ryan, Ayn Rand Zealot, to provide him with a working blueprint, in his 'exterminating budget.' Exterminating everything of value to the 99% to the profit of the 1%.
It is to our severe detriment to underestimate these puppets of Rove, Cheney and the whole neo/theocon movement. I am reminded of Norquist's chilling requirement for a candidate at the CPAC Conference:
All we have to do is replace Obama. ... We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don't need a president to tell us in what direction to go. We know what direction to go. We want the Ryan budget. ... We just need a president to sign this stuff. We don't need someone to think it up or design it. The leadership now for the modern conservative movement for the next 20 years will be coming out of the House and the Senate.
The requirement for president?
Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen to become president of the United States. This is a change for Republicans: the House and Senate doing the work with the president signing bills. His job is to be captain of the team, to sign the legislation that has already been prepared.
These are the real forces against which we are fighting in this election. They don't give a damn what Romney/Ryan does or says, as long as they get elected and Romney signs what they tell him to sign. Says what they tell him to say.
Perhaps for the first time in history, a true 'plutocratic corporation' is running for the office of the presidency and it looks like Norquist is Chairman of the Board, and Rove is CEO. And Rush is Minister of Propaganda. After all, now that corporations are people?
Romney is an utter shell of a man who will do the expedient and profitable thing and serve his puppetmasters to a "t" and consider it 'good business practice' to lie and conceal from just about everyone else. And Paul Ryan is a true believer in Ayn Rand and is ready to be his hench man in this take down of our government, with every moral fiber of his being outsourced to the corrupt vulture capitalist philosophy.
Just their kind of guys.
So have fun today with the Ryan announcement, but understand how clearly this demonstrates that we now have the first 'CORPORATION RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT.
