Hi all,
It's been a REALLY long time since I've blogged at Daily Kos (or at all, really!)
I had front row seats to the first Obama rally in the post-Ryan world. It was pretty great.
He ripped the two of them on Medicare and Farm Aid specifically and continued pushing the themes that have gotten him this far in the campaign. I posted some photos on Twitter with good captions -- both inspiring and pretty funny -- and I figured I would share them here.
This man said:
"All I want to do is shake his hand and tell him 'thanks' for everything."
I'm glad he got his chance:
Council Bluffs (and Omaha, where I'm from!) were out in full force:
This women was in tears after hugging the President:
I tweeted this comment with the photo:
"AND THEN HE SAID… THE NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES… PAUL RYAN! I LMAO'd everywhere!"
You can see all the photos on my Twitter page if you are so inclined: @MikeNellis.
I'd appreciate any follows too. Tweet at me and I'll try to follow you back!
I've been critical of President Obama in the past, but I am elated to see he still has the touch of inspiring people. Watching people get so fired up when he took the stage was amazing and a reminder to me that we are going to win this election by sending Romney-Ryan packing!
Thanks all,
Mike
P.S. It's good to be back, for a moment. Tomorrow I'll be a recluse consultant again! ;)
