If Bush had accomplished only half of What President Obama has, his statue would've been erected down by the monument by now!
The Dems should be pushing for the same.
I've made several posts on a blog or two about how the GOP refuses to give President Obama his proper credit for his leadership of the military. Specifically as it pertains to the capture and killing of Osama Bin Laden.
One of the things that always comes to mind is, if it were Bush, then the GOP would have erected a 50 foot tall monument of him somewhere down on K street or next to the monument somewhere. There would be a "Game of Thrones" type of proclamation such as "Protector of the Realm" accolade bestowed upon him, a petition to add his face to Mt. Rushmore and he would be celebrated by the GOP in ways that we couldn't
fathom. Perhaps a holiday too.
But the real questions is, why aren't the Democrats doing that?
Why haven't they put their man out front in a way that promotes his leadership of the military and specifically his success in killing the enemies of America the way the Republicans would?
In case it hasn't occurred to them, they should. Before the end of President Obama's second term, the Democrats should push for the kind of official recognition that he deserves and ensure that his place in history is secured as a President who made one of the most daring, gutsy and successful calls ever in the history of American military leadership.
Just like the GOP would.
