LAPD 'Rodney King' Division Officers Slam Handcuffed Woman to Ground, Then Fist Bump.

Law enforcement officials who viewed the footage described it as "very troubling" and said at least one of the officers' actions would be "difficult to explain." The officials said investigators were focusing on the second take down of the woman after she was handcuffed.

A woman is pulled over for driving while using a cell phone.  After she gets out of her car she is violently thrown to the ground.  When she gets up she is handcuffed, then thrown brutally to the ground again.  Once stuffed into the back seat of the patrol car the two officers 'fist bump' (01:40 in video) on a job well done.

Pictures of the woman taken afterwards show nasty bruises on her face, arms and back (00:35 in video).

The police chief is "concerned" about this "use of force."  Meanwhile, the officers involved have been "reassigned" to "non-field duties."  I'm guessing that would be figuring out how to not get caught on videotape when you're beating the living shit out of people you don't like.

And yes, these officers were from the same LAPD Division that beat Rodney King oh-so-not-that-long ago.

How many videotapes of outright thuggery by police all across the country will it take to convince anyone who's anyone that the police are no more likely to "protect and serve" than Curiosity will discover green intelligent humanoids holding a princess captive?
