Now that the Solyndra "scandal" has subsided, there may be another kerfuffle coming along similar lines. All I need to give you is the first paragraph of the story from Reuters to see what I'm talking about:
China's largest automotive parts supplier is poised to take control of U.S. battery maker A123 Systems , which received a $249-million green-technology grant from the Obama administration in 2009.
The dough came from the Electric Drive Battery and Component Manufacturing Initiative.
It's possible that Romney and the Repubs might not criticize the fact that the Chinese are benefiting from Obama's loose purse strings since, after all, capitalism is capitalism. On the other hand, they might choose to use it as a red scare mongering attack. Of course, the investment by the Chinese company could preserve jobs, but that wouldn't stop the Repubs from criticizing it. Time will tell.
