We Democrats abroad are not sitting on the sidelines and for tight senate races our votes can make a real difference this year.
I've been an ex-pat for over 25 years and always sent in my absentee ballot, wondering if it would really matter. This year is very different and the Democrats Abroad are mobilizing like I have NEVER seen before in all these years.
Two weeks ago I was contacted via email by the DA and asked:
1. If I was registered to vote
2. If I would be willing to call 50 people in my adopted country who were democrats abroad and registered to vote in these states: Connecticut, Massachusetts, Indiana, Montana, and North Dakota.

You bet I volunteered! I will start calling as soon as I get my list. To me this is huge, no one has ever done this before in my experience. It is clear to me the Obama election campaign and the DSCC is going after EVERY vote in their GOTV efforts. And I am proud to know my vote (I vote in one of those states listed above) can actually matter this time. There is so much dirty money flowing into the republican senate coffers, and people power is the disinfectant!
Heh all you ex-pats out there:
