Mrs ruleoflaw, L.A. MacPup and I recently spent a weekend camping at the Long Lake Unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest near Dundee, Wisconsin. During that trip, we spent an afternoon strolling along the Butler Lake Trail. The trail meanders through a mixed forest of oak, maple, cherry, hickory, red pine, cedar, locust, hawthorn and beech, (to name just a few). I wanted to post a photo diary, ala Ojibwa or blueyedace2, but I had far too many pics and wanted to include a bit of music.
The slide-show video is below the flourish. Watch out for poison ivy.
I hope Leo Kottke likes little dogs and pictures of trees.
A little bonus music. A fine little ditty about the Kettle Moraine.
