I know we aren't supposed to count chickens before they are hatched but I have not felt this giddily optimistic about an election in a while, and from everything I'm sensing, I'm not alone. So I allow myself to dream, a little, about life after a Democratic landslide. We take all three branches, what then?
Celebrate, pat ourselves on the back, promise to do it again next election, and sit back, knowing our new Democratic majority will take us where we want to go?
Okay, no one here is that naive, right? You got that was a joke? Good.
So what do we want, and how will we go about getting it? I know what I want and what I will work towards once we have some hope of enacting real Democratic policies, but I'm interested in what YOU will be working to achieve once we have the kinds of leaders in place who will actually listen to the American people?
