Seems to me there's a simple way to turn around this technique which seems to have some on our side all messed up when they are asked this question.....when asked....the response should be..........
...Yes, Mr. Myth Romney..a lot of us are better off and would have been worse...blah, blah, blah...etc. Cite the numbers...all made up below
if u ask the uninsured kids who are now insured...they are better off....1 million of them
if u ask the soldiers who are home from iraq...200K of them
if u ask people who now have insurance and didn't.....4 million of them.
and so on and so on and so on...
BUT, a more interesting question is...Mr. Romney and Mr. Paul...are you better off since our President took office?? Please show us your tax returns so we can all determine whether the two of you are better off or worse off? This would be a great way to bring back the whole tax returns issue front and center. And it would prove that regardless of the economy, the system is stacked so that the Romney's of the world are not impacted by the normal economic cycles because they can shield their wealth from them.
I sure wish someone would ask them that question????
3:25 PM PT: oops, just caught up to Colbert from last night..he had same idea :-(
