Yesterday, while speaking at Northwestern College in Iowa, Mitt Romney pointed to Rep. Steve King and proclaimed, This man needs to be your Congressman again – and I want him as my partner in Washington, D.C.
It has taken little time for the DNC to pounce, and it's a doosey called "Partners in Extremism" that deserves to go viral, in my humble opinion.
Decide for yourself:
Just brutal.
One might be astonished that Romney would make such a proclamation, until one remembers that Romney simply says whatever he thinks those before him want to hear, regardless of the meaning or implications of his words.
As Hunter, rightfully apoplectic, wrote yesterday:
You want Congressman Steve King as your partner? We're talking about Iowa Congressman Steve King? The guy who is against laws against dog fighting, boasts that his laws allow more animal cruelty, blasts "multiculturalism" as "victims groups," gives long sermons on how the demon government is oppressing his God-given right to slightly less efficient light bulbs, says that some Americans just don't need health care, flirts with birtherism, hangs out with racists, pines for the time when only male property owners could vote, says that high American unemployment is caused by a "nation of slackers," and just recently was opining to a reporter that he just plain never "heard of" anyone getting pregnant from incest or statutory rape? Steve King the sociopath?
That Steve King?
Well, I guess King wasn't just blowing smoke when he said that the Romney/Ryan campaign comes to him for advice on what Iowans are like. Have fun with your "partner," Mitt. My advice is that you embrace him just as much and as often as you can, because there's no way that could ever go wrong.
I believe the DNC agrees. No way
that could go wrong. At all.
