Here's President Obama's address one year ago on the eve of introducing the American Jobs Act. His words are just as spot-on today as they were one year ago:
And we all know what happened. The Republicans filibustered it in the Senate and Mitch McConnell gloated: “The truth of the matter is, most Democrats know just as well as I do that passing another stimulus and tax hike is a lousy idea...”
(FYI: Only Tester and Nelson voted with the Republicans and it includes a tax cut for middle class families and small businesses.)

And John Boehner refused to bring it up in the House.
Fast forward one year to today. Joblessness is still unacceptably high and Romney's campaign is (supposed to be) all about jobs.
So I hope and pray that when Congress re-convenes for its short session this week, Harry Reid re-introduces it. Right now. In the middle of the campaign. With everyone watching.
Let the Republicans explain why they are voting against 2 million jobs and a tax cut. If they oppose it, we take back the House. If they reverse themselves and support it, the country wins and Obama looks like a strong leader.
Please...let's not let this one get away!
