Good morning, and welcome to another edition of Frankenoid’s Day Off. Here in the dead of winter, it’s been cold enough in recent weeks that I don’t blame the rhodies one bit for curling up their leaves.
Looking outside, it just seems like a never-ending stretch of white, or maybe more like gray.
But I took a closer look in the garden this week and found some hints of color amongst the gray.
Whether it was in plants …
... or something man-made, like the side window on the garage, it was a welcome sight.

Well, maybe not all of the color was welcome. ;-)

Like the bird bath, I’ll be happier when it’s spring, but winter gardens do have their pockets of charm.
That’s what’s happening here on the North Coast of America. What’s happening in your winter gardens?
