"If Mr. Paul wants to be taken seriously he needs to do more than pull political stunts that fire up impressionable libertarian kids in their college dorms. He needs to know what he's talking about..." WSJ editorial this morning
I don't know what was funnier--Paul himself droning on about Americans in danger of hellfire missiles raining down on them at their breakfast tables or the parade of conservative intellectuals that gleefully joined him on the road to buffoonery.
99.999999% of Americans already understood the President wasn't going to order them killed while at their corner diner, but these morons somehow thought this mortal threat was worth wasting more taxpayer money and shutting down the Senate for a day.
When you surround yourself with great conservative minds like Rubio, Cruz, and Lee, with Sarah Palin pitching in on twitter, you, sir, are no Mr. Smith. You're an idiot surrounded by a bunch of nuts embarrassing yourself and your party in a 13-hour farting contest.
Then this morning on Glenn Beck, Rand further embarrassed himself with this incoherent rant...
"The difference is, is that if you say America's part of the battlefield and you want the laws of war to apply over here, just describing someone as an enemy combatant — see, a year or two ago, they described people who are pro life, people who are for strong immigration and strong secure borders, people who believe in third parties..."
Oh. My. God.
Nice job there, Rand. Keep up the good work for our 2014 electoral prospects...
