Standard disclaimer: Leave your loathing of meta, World of Warcraft, or community diaries outside. If you think we should be playing your MMO instead, start a guild and write a recruitment diary. Don't leave a comment here and then get all hurtful when it isn't received with flowers and candy. This goes double for people coming in to attack guildies over other diaries or comments - STAY OUT! Link to your recruitment diary is OK though. |

Yes, you have to be Horde. No, you don't have to be hardcore - casuals, PvPers, and people that just want to hang out on guild chat are all welcome. |
More below the fold:
I'll explain the title in the raid updates. Other than that, it's been a quiet week, so let's look into the raid reports starting with Team Kaels from Ninotchka:
Team Kaels is chugging along through the Throne of Thunder, although we're dropping back to 2 nights a week for a little while. We managed to kill one new boss last week, Tortos the giant turtle. It's a very chaotic encounter, with turtles and bats whirling around everywhere and knocking you up into the air. We don't quite have it on farm yet; got stalled there last night. Hopefully we'll be able to report further progress after Friday.

I expected a little more about Tortos. Then again, considering the little turtles spawning, the raid-wiping breaths that Tortos does that are only interrupted by kicking a turtle into him, oh and the collapsing ceiling, maybe it's better we don't hear more.
Now here's Pamena with the Team RubiPam and Saturday Night Massacre report:
Team RubiPam report:
We had a banner night Monday night! We were glad to have Carune's help in the absence of Corwynn and our stalwart backup Vanillapie (feel better!), and went back into the Empress, more or less grimly determined to finish her this time - and after a few wipes, we did just that! Chanta had suggested to me, after I talked her in the wake of our kind of depressing efforts on Empress last Thursday, that we switch around our healing assignments and have Rubidium's druid do tank healing while Pamena's disc priest did raid healing, and that worked much better. And I guess we just finally got the dance down of building the traps, and boom! she was dead and the Sha was nattering on about his nefarious plans. But we were too busy celebrating Never Having to Come Back Here Again, especially since Rubi got the healing mace!
We then moved on to Terrace of the Endless Spring, for the last four raid bosses of Tier 14, and while I knew Protectors was not a difficult fight, I did not expect it to be so silly easy for us - but I am not complaining, we one-shot the Protectors, and then two-shot Tsulong! So, we are now 14/16 in Tier 14, and 1/whatever for Tier 15, which puts our group in the top 20 on the server. We head back to Terrace Thursday night to see if we can finish off this tier and then start banging our heads on TOT. A great night - and I am very proud of us for clearing HOF (and glad Rubidium made us stick to it) as many guilds just skipped those last two fights in HOF and went straight to Terrace.
Saturday Night Massacre Announcement: Senta/Pamena will not be organizing the SNM for the next several weeks, as I will not be around on Saturday nights for a while. My hope is that it is well enough established that folks will organize themselves into doing something fun on Saturday nights, something non-raiders can join in on, I hope, whether it be world bosses, hunting dinos or heritage raids. Ya'll Can Do It!

I more or less helped get the Saturday Night Massacre together for a go at the Sha of Anger. We had to pug a lot of the raid, but we got him down, and there were a good number of first time Sha-killers there. I think we did something else but I forgot what it was.
Let's wrap it up with the Team ZARD report from Moodyloner:
So, our raid team has a name: "Zen and the Art of Ritual Disembowelment" or Team ZARD or Team Z. We had our first ever actual raid last Sunday and we are 2/16. We went in to the first raid, Mogu'shan Vaults, with a roster consisting nearly entirely of melee DPS. We feast on Blizzard's contempt, and it strengthens us.
We had the most trouble with Feng the Accursed. We'd get him to the third phase and we'd all die - either we didn't stack right or the poor healers ran out of mana or something. But, on our last pull of the night, we managed to beat him down far enough for Jantuk to get a Touch of Death on him and drop him.
Savor your cheap victories, for sometimes they're the only ones you get.
Hopefully the next writeup, which should be our first full run, will not get eaten by Arthas-damned Microsoft.

And that's all I have for this week.
For the Horde!
