Mockery:
What was the story that was deserving of an image of a comedian doing drag?
The fact that California and Oregon now require insurance companies to insure our medical needs. You know the same companies that deny birth control in lieu of boner pills were also denying life saving coverage of medical procedures for Transgender people.
It is almost like these states recognize we are people and not just handy martyrs.
The changes apply to companies insuring about a third of Oregonians and about 7 percent of Californians, but not to people on Medicare and Medicaid or to the majority of Californians who are insured through a health management organization, or HMO.
It isn't like the procedures are new or not covered. It just means if cis people get that treatment we too may also avail ourselves of it. Not really changing anything.
