While Washington prepares for President Obama’s second inaugural, I want to give a shout out to Mitt Romney for what his campaign did for America.
Romney barely lost the election, by just a little more than 5 million people votes and 126 electoral votes. And as it turned out, Romney won the “taker vote” he was so worried about. Yes, those blood sucking parasites on Social Security and Medicare voted for him 56% to 44%. As did the Southern and Western States that receive more money from the Federal government than they contribute. Romney’s 47% of the vote got a huge portion of the 47% of slacker America.
Running to save us from Obama’s recovery, today’s economic news is good. Yesterdays’ stock market hit highs since the Bush/Cheney crash. There is a 5-year low on unemployment claims. Corporate profits are at an all time high. Housing starts and sales are up, 2012 was best year since 2008. And recent studies find we are on the right track to solving the deficit.
Romney's campaign magnified the differences between Republican and Democrat economic policies.
Additionally, our homosexual citizens, women needing birth controland abortions, and immigrants also owe Romney a debt of gratitude for what his campaign did for their rights. Romney’s positions forced the left who had criticized President Obama, sometimes justly, realize that elections to matter and the parties have serious and significant differences.
All in all, Romney played and important role in bringing this country together.
Thanks, almost President Romney.
