The day democracy died... 09/30/2013... House Resolution 368 If this does not chill the warmest of democratically principled hearts, what will?
What Americans are responsible for this shutdown of our government? Of course, this was partly orchestrated by elected government officials. They were looking for further budget cuts to the poor, seniors, disabled, veterans, & a certain amount of government employees, certain programs, etc. For money. For money that was set aside from many Americans working paychecks. Their service. Sacrifices. For the "good."

"Democracy has been suspended, Mr. Speaker." Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-Md.)

There are many reasons for this shutdown. Many players. Reasons should be quite clear by now? Depends on what sources you compile from. However, in this blog entry the source or origination was cited. As with video, quotes, separate authors from only two sources.
One small faction of the government doesn't like government? Nor ~50million people. Seniors. Disabled. Veterans. Scientists. Sick children, adults. Some still caught up into this thing called a recession. IMO, it is much more than that.
I'm just one of the many hostages... in this excersize of democracy & the power of ignorant lying factions in the big government that I love & yet...
Will remember when, if I ever get a chance to vote again...
I am a hypocrite. Not anywhere near perfect or pure. I am overwhelmed with sadness on a chilly fall day morning where I hear a politician say democracy died...
