The 'protest' by Tea Partiers led by Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz at the WWII Memorial culminated at the White House with this display.
Michael Ashmore is so proud of his Confederate flag-waving protest against 'Obamacare' that he has changed his Facebook profile picture to incorporate the image.
The protesters carried barricades (Barry-cades) from the WWII memorial to the White House (stole and destroyed government property) and hurled them at the White House fence, clashed with Capitol Police yet no arrests were made. (In the video you can hear one woman yelling in true Tea Party fashion that they have a Constitutional right to be there. They always know the one part of the constitution that applies to them - yet the same somehow doesn't apply to Occupy protesters),
Larry Klayman exhorted President Obama to "put the Quran down".
One of the speakers was Larry Klayman, an attorney who founded Judicial Watch, a conservative legal non-profit that teamed with True the Vote last year to sue states that didn’t aggressively purge voters from rolls. Klayman, who now works with another conservative nonprofit called FreedomWatch, called for the crowd to engage in “a second American nonviolent revolution” using “civil disobedience” to demand that Obama “leave town.”
He called for Obama “to get up, to put the Quran down, to get up off his knees, and to figuratively come out with his hands up.”
So they hate Obamacare and shut down the government, and hoped to crash through the debt ceiling. A deal is on the verge of being wrapped up, and as it turns out, they got
nuthin' for their troubles:
Democrats won’t say it too loudly just yet, but the emerging budget agreement leaves Republicans with remarkably little to show for forcing the first government shutdown in 17 years: They barely nicked Obamacare and their poll numbers are in tank.
