i started all over from the beginning and skipped the income verification since i would not be eligible for the subsidies and finally made it to the part where they can show you the plans that you can choose.
i've gota wife and 2 kids, no smokers, no exciting medical conditions.
9 bronze plans, monthly premiums $850 to $1100, deductible $11,400, out of pocket max $12,600
7 silver plans, monthly premiums $925 to $1280, deductible $5,400, out of pocket max $12,300
6 Gold plans, monthly premiums $1100 to $1530, decuctible $1300, out of pocket max $10,800
2 Platinum plans, monthly premiums $1440 to $1570, deductible $0, out of pocket max $5,500
So the annual premiums run from $10,300 to $17,200 per year.
That's quite a ways from my employer costs
$230 monthly premium ($252 with dental/eyecare)
$3000 deductible
and $1000 employer contribution
i'd kiss my boss if i didn't think he'd punch me in the nose.
Those are my 2013 figures. A few more weeks until we can do our 2014 signup and i start seeing how much the ACA is going to save me.
