Received this e-mail from Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz's (D. PA-13) gubernatorial campaign:
Following the intense outcry against his plan to deny $45 million in emergency funding from Philadelphia schools, Tom Corbett's finally did what he should have done months ago, and has agreed to give our schools the funding they need for the school year.
Despite this move, Corbett has made slashing funding for our children at the expense of Pennsylvania's future one of his priorities, so that he can continue to give tax breaks to his wealthy allies. After cutting more than $1 billion dollars from our commonwealth's education funding, Corbett has jeopardized our future.
That is why we want to get 25,000 Pennsylvanians to stand up and demand more adequate funding for our children's future. Can you click here and automatically take a stand for our state's children today?

Pennsylvania's children are our most precious resource and we have to do our part to make sure they have what it takes to compete in a global economy. If we are able to stand together our commonwealth can have a better and brighter future.
It's up to us to stop Governor Corbett's disastrous cuts to our children's future. Can you click here and add your name to our 25,000 strong for education campaign?
