I had no idea that Ted Cruz was affiliated with the Dominionist movement, an evangelical group whose own special interpretation of the bible, especially the christian version of the Hebrew bible, encourages them to rule the world...including ending democracy.
Ted's dad is evidently a big shot with these people in Texas which gave Ted a huge impetus in his Senate campaign...Here is an article that describes some of their particular delusions...

There are also large numbers of Dominionists in Florida, especially in the panhandle area, who, according to reports I have read elsewhere, regularly use violence against people they perceive to be "liberal" or gay, which they see as their enemies who god wants them to destroy...

These groups, given that they are "religious" are tax exempt, and are getting huge amounts of money from the "Faith Based Initiative" program established by Bush II and continued by the Obama administration.
These groups are in large part a driving force behind the extremists in Congress right now. Their main interest is the destruction of secular government and transfer of political power to the "priests"...who would presumably rule us all as they feel directed by god.
I just thought that some here might be interested in the real nature of today's extremist republican party. This is not ALL of their motivation, by any means, but it is a large part of it and it has been neglected by any media of which I am aware.
I do NOT support these people, I do not like them, and I certainly do not want them running our country.
