This is a video from my show Counterpoint PA, the only grassroots progressive newscast exclusively about Pennsylvania politics.
In Activism in Action, a lightning-round update on the latest progressive protests around the Pennsylvania, I talk about a marijuana legalization protest in Philadelphia that culminated in some protesters being arrested for smoking marijuana in an act of civil disobedience (including a video clip of the arrests), and two unique groups that came out a couple weeks ago to protest what then looked like America's imminent bombing of Syria: a group of Syrian-Pennsylvanians and the Granny Peace Brigade.

Stay in touch on Twitter @CounterpointPA and on Facebook at http://facebook.com/... and stay tuned tonight for The Breakdown and Worst Pennsylvanians of the Week. (Delayed from original schedule because of the government shutdown dominating the news.)
Still to come:
The Breakdown
Sean Kitchen of Raging Chicken Press (and here at Daily Kos) joins me to discuss his reporting on a proposal to gut the state's endangered species act to allow even more unregulated fracking in the state
(The Breakdown topic may change, but here's the good news - it's coming out today regardless and if the topic does change, the Sean Kitchen interview will still be coming out as a bonus video ASAP, so viewers will wind up with more to watch.)
All that plus Counterpoint PA's special homage to Keith Olbermann, the Worst Pennsylvanians of the Week!
