My profession requires me to answer my phone throughout the day. I get calls from all manner of area codes, so I can't really screen them either.
This afternoon, I received a call from (773) 554-3932. This is an Illinois number. I haven't lived in Illinois for several years, but still have an IL area code for my cell phone.
Today's charming call was an over-the-top, homophobic robocall outlining all the disasters that will befall the Land of Lincoln if the gay mafia has their way. It bordered on sounding like a Poe to me.
They convinced me, however, and I certainly decided to donate...

Until midnight, Human Rights Campaign is matching donations.

Splendid! Although I wonder if they're sending my money. :) Each time I get a homophoborobocall, I donate to somebody. Last time was HRC. Before that was Lambda Legal.
I know that donation money is tight, but you might want to consider pitching in a spare copper or two if you can.
