Seriously, has there been one verified success at healthcare.gov? Has one person actually purchased insurance? Viewed their plans and costs? Honest question. I'm specifically referencing the national exchange, not the state exchanges.
I've been trying since Monday and I'm no closer to getting signed up than I was when I started. I've talked to 4 different people on the phone. They are clueless and can't really address any of my concerns. "Try later." "Try later."
The site tells me to verify but the upload feature isn't working. So I have to start all over and try again. It gets disconnected. Error messages. "Sorry, try again later," messages. One page says "submitted." The next page warns that my application isn't complete. Help desks folks ask for a non-existent ref number.
If this were as simple as bandwidth, where are the extra servers? If it's a software glitch, when are they going to patch it? I get the feeling that they aren't any closer to getting the damn thing working as they were Monday.
This self inflicted wound is just what the crooks and liars can exploit with their low information haters. No excuse for this. None. I worked 25 for DEC, Compaq, and HP. This is unacceptable.
It wouldn't surprise me if the whole site will have to be taken down and rebuilt.
