Road Rage is bad news. Assumptions. Ego. Anger. Emotion-fueled reactions that aren't awesome.
Hey, for more danger, let's do it at Interstate speeds! What could be more effing stupid?
Um...adding a handgun to the mix!
Jeebus H Christ on a pogo stick.
What to do when you're pissed that someone video-records your dangerous driving (passing car in the left breakdown lane) on I-75?
Pull out your handgun and fire at the offending smartphone-wielding driver, duh!
"The window comes down, he pulls up a gun and fires, almost immediately he fires. As soon as I see the gun come up I just hit the brake and he missed me," said Kollar who kept his camera rolling.
Freedom! Patriot!
Well-regulated um, More Freedom!
No, the opposite. Arrested, actually. Then charged with 1st degree wanton endangerment. Gun-totin Dr. Perrin Dobyns was also later suspended from his contracted position as a doctor at Branchville Correctional Facility, Branchville, Indiana.
All because of a little ol' Freedom Drivin' and 2nd Amendment Uninfringin'!
Non-lethal Derp (thankfully, he didn't fire on the WKYT film crew yesterday. Perhaps he's learning moderation? Or just doesn't have his firearm back?)
Quick thinking by witness:
Before starting his recording, Kollar said he witnessed the black car drive on the emergency lane of Interstate-75, in Richmond (Kentucky ~ JV), next to another car. The witness said the car began acting as if he was going to force his way into the left lane where another vehicle was driving.
Indiana State Police agree:
Police credit Kollar for the quick arrest because of the video and his awareness to get the man's license plate. The rest, they said, fell into place after they were able to confirm the man's identity and vehicle with Indiana State Police.
Quick-draw Dr. Perrin Dobyns was released yesterday on $2,500 bail. His preliminary hearing on the 1st degree wanton endangerment charge is next Weds, Oct 9th.

Thankfully, not tragic like fatal Sept 20 MI road rage + guns incident. Both men were Responsible Concealed Carry Permit Holders (TM)...until they weren't.
Nor as brilliant as this Good Guy With A Gun (TM) from Milwaukee, WI July 16:
"Sheriff Clarke said to stand up for ourselves, we're a team," he told TMJ4. "I was trying to be a team player and provide the information and get law enforcement on scene."
Which is why he followed the car onto, off and back onto I-43,
firing one-handed out his window at the Bad Guy vehicle!!1:
That's when Adamany began emptying the magazine of his gun, shooting out the window with his left hand while driving and using the phone with his right hand, he told police.
Woooo! Your Police teammates can just follow the sound of your shooting up I-43! Yeah, they
LOVE that! Not. (
Arrested.)
The other guy? He did exactly what any of us would do:
So Scott fired back out his driver's window, pointing backward over his shoulder with his right hand, while steering with his left.
By the Grace of God, no one was injured by these two Responsible Concealed Carry Brain Surgeons.
Whew.
Hey. Let's be careful out there...
