So, my husband Persiflage and I are self-admitted cat lovers. We have nine now, lost two dearly beloved last year. One to cancer, one to old age. Those losses still hurt, and we recognize life is life.
Having said that, we are so hopeful of the chance to save a life here. Yes, a pootie. She isn't any ordinary cat, she is a survivor of the worst neglect. She has lost an eye due to this. She has been infested with fleas and mites, had kittens when she was almost one herself. She was underweight, frightened and ever so alone. Or so she thought.
Enter Kim Fleck and her partner, rescuers who are friends of our own RenaRF. Their focus is not just rescuing but finding forever homes for the older and sicker pooties, you know, the ones who aren't cute and cuddly but have so much love to offer, if given a chance.
Enter miss Arielle. I'm going to provide a link for you to read about Arielle in Kim's words which are so much more eloquent than mine.
Here is what Kim has to say:

If you clicked the link you saw the most gorgeous girl, full of love, almost daring you to see that she now has only one eye. Can you imagine what her suffering must have been like? Me either.
Kim and her partner have managed to provide these necessary dental surgeries for two other pooties in the last few weeks but their resources are running dry. In case you don't know about pooties and teeth, when the teeth get so bad they need to be removed, other vital organs are seriously impacted. The liver is one and it goes on from there. This is not survivable. We have our own rescue, Lily, who had the same problem. She is now six and has been without a tooth in her head for over five years. They do fine, if the teeth and other dental work, like repair of jaw fractures caused by the horrible tooth issue, are addressed.
Folks, Kossacks, we are $900 away from saving this beautiful, loving, just learning to trust again little girl. Can you spare a dollar? Two? Five? Every little bit adds up and time is running out. We have seven (7) days until her surgery.
If Arielle could speak I just know she would thank you from the bottom of her sweet pootie heart.
I thank you for reading and considering.
