The Tea Party did their magic to make A&E concede to the duckies and unsuspend papa duck. I am outraged that they would concede, and outraged that this nation would glorify somebody who promulgates such hateful views against our gay and AA friends. It occurred to me that we ought to do what we can to let A&E (AND Crackerbarrel) know that this is unacceptable to a large segment of the population. SO I did a search to see who the advertisers for A&E are.
Well, it appears that the tea party was doing a campaign to force A&E to bring them back (surprise). Lookie what I found after the squiggle:
I found this posting on a Facebook page but I have no intention of providing the link. It is a tea party page asking people to call A&E to protest muzzling the duckies. I think we should use it for the opposite. At least they were kind enough to tell us who the advertisers are and how to contact them:
"All the companies that advertise on A&E listed below have something like this on their website: "If you need to report an adverse event or side effect with one of our products, please call our Customer Service number to report a problem, so we can give you more personalized attention."
If you REALLY think A&E muzzling Phil Robertson from Duck Dynasty is a problem, call one or two of their sponsors today and let them know about this ADVERSE EVENT.
(While I appreciate the sentiment of facebook likes, they don't carry the same weight as a personal phone call to the companies to give them a piece of your mind. Feel free to share.)
