Received this e-mail today from U.S. Senate candidate, Lt. Governor John Walsh (D. MT), regarding Giving Tuesday:
As a veteran and retired adjutant general of the Montana National Guard, I know only too well the mental health challenges faced by so many veterans. Especially with suicide rates among veterans continuing to climb, the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs does not have the resources to fight this epidemic alone. We need all hands on deck to confront and stop this threat to our veterans.
One organization that is on the front lines of this battle is the Montana affiliate of NAMI -- the National Alliance on Mental Illness. They provide critical, community-based services that are helping veterans all across Montana with treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and other conditions that can lead to suicide.
So on the second annual "Giving Tuesday" -- a day to celebrate the start of the giving season and support the organizations in our communities that bring people together and make Montana a better place for all of us to live -- I'm asking you to join me and make a contribution to support NAMI's lifesaving work.
Will you help celebrate Giving Tuesday by making a contribution to NAMI MT today?

It's so important for our communities to work together to confront our greatest challenges. Your support will make a huge impact for NAMI and for the Montanans they serve.
Thank you for your continued support for my campaign, and for making a generous contribution to NAMI today.
Sincerely,
John Walsh
