The world prepares to say good-bye to Nelson Mandela. I cannot imagine any leader who would not want to be "there." Johannesburg? Soccer City? Pretoria? Graveside? Soccer-stadium memorial? 10,000 people in a church?
But the question in my mind is "Who will lead the American delegation and who will be in it?"
I propose two questions: Who do you think WILL be in it? and Who would you select and why?
Who WILL attend?
Will President Obama lead the delegation or will that be VP Biden?
Will Michele alone or with Sasha and Malia join them?
Ex Presidents, alone or with First Ladies?
Which Republicans might be invited and which might attend?
Which civil rights leaders?
US Rep John Lewis?
Mayor Andrew Young?
Vernon Jordan?
Dorothy Cotton?
Louis Farrakhan?
Jesse Jackson?
Al Sharpton?
Ben Jealous?
Rev Derrick Harkins?
Sharon J. Lettman-Hicks
In another category, what fantasy picks might make a greater point?
Rush Limbaugh?
Michele Rhee?
Malala Yousafzai
Sandra Fluke?
