Not looking for mojo...
Don't need no Rec's....
This an expression of joy and pure happiness. A rare thing. Very rare for the past two years. For many reasons.
None of which matter much, now.
My son-in-law got a Slope job. Eighteen bucks an hour and 35 hours guaranteed overtime. Three weeks on, three weeks off. While I gave up fear years ago, I had some trepidation about the future of my granddaughters. I have been working very hard in order to guarantee their future: bought them a home; (the only one they've ever known) positioned them near potable water for at least the next one hundred years; begun teaching them (the older one anyway) about the changes coming to her State and home and how to cope. Now I can pull back a little and concentrate on the teaching aspect and not have to work so damn hard.
Yes, I get the irony: Had there never been a North Slope oil discovery, maybe they wouldn't have to worry about climate change. Well, I have news for you: We reached the tipping point sometime back in the 1920's. What's done is done. Adapt or die.
And before you criticize, walk a mile in MY Bunny Boots!!
