Tribune Co, owner of LA Times, Chicago Tribune and 23 TV stations across the country, is up for sale. When a former L.A. politician voiced an intent to raise money to buy just the LA Times, the owners said they would only sell the newspapers as a bundle, making it out of reach to any but the super rich. So we have the Koch brothers and Murdoch considering the deal. Is there any way to put pressure on to coerce the company to sell the assets one at a time? Who would we need to pressure?
The FCC
The President
The owners of the Tribune Company (corporate campaigns have been successful!)
Any thoughts?
