I heard Glen Beck on his radio show this morning (don't ask) talking about how the listeners of Sirius XM Patriot Radio (satellite radio's home to Beck, Sean Hannity, Andrew Wilkow and other luminaries of the right wing media complex) will no longer have to put up with the intrusion of reality from the propagandists at AP News. Beck was happily announcing that his news service "The Blaze" was now contracted to provide the "news" feed for the channels periodic breaks between an otherwise constant stream of paranoid delusions interspersed with Viagra ads. Most important, Beck said, was that now the listeners would get "real" news and benefit from the ever important "story selection". Presumably The Blaze will only select stories that the audience will like because it already confirms their beliefs. I always thought it must be a bit jarring to the audience to hear the top of the hour report of objective news that so often contradicted the message of the programming. Not a problem any longer -- if they don't like the real world they can now listen to the highly editorialized news feed from the Blaze, carefully selected to emphasize only the messages they want to hear. Just like the boycott of Fox News called for by the tea party, they now have a "true conservative" news source to turn to and no longer need the librul media's lies.
Later in the day I caught one of the "news breaks" which featured important stories like how the Starbucks CEO waded into controversy by dissing a member of NOM at the shareholder's annual meeting, and another piece entirely built around a quote from Wayne LaPierre lecturing David Gregory about how embarrassing it is that the white house press lackeys never ask Obama why Chicago doesn't enforce its gun laws.
I think they've managed to plug yet another leak in the construction of their total bubble of denial. Good luck with that.
