An elongated figure lies prone against the Atlantic Coast, rising from its middle a freakish twisted, wandering sort of stupendously giant penis ... are its twisted contortions and monstrous proportions pointing at the Appalachian Trail?
A gerrymandered prick. A prickish congressional district. What better to elect a giant prick, one Marshal Clement Sanford Jr., a narrow lurching sort of an imitation of a man AKA Mark Sanford.
Manufactured. As South Carolina Congressional District 1 is manufactured. Faux. In the new world of faux fashioned by clownish figures like Karl Rove, Dick Cheney, and the collective body of the major operatives of the Republican party.
Paint his nose red, Sanford's, place ridiculous clownishenlongated shoes on the man, as well as a ballooning clown suit and you have the essence of the man Marshall Clement Sanford Jr., and the ridiculously clownish District One of South Carolina.
In a nation of pricks whose military is associated with widespread rape, whose sports scene is associated with drunken scenes of rape, men who feel empowered to kidnap young innocents for purpose of continued rape and imprisonment, empowered by the misleading and evil teachings of the abstinence-only crowd which seeks to create young, unknowing innocents ready for the plucking by sexual predators.
A prickish nation which fancies itself an empire, a military giant with its huge footprints all over the planet.
Alas, even my own congressman, Adam Smith (WA-09), who abjectly worships his position as ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee, the largest committee in the U.S. House of Representative, a Congress of militaristic clowns it would seem -- Smith pensively muses over the possible effects of the sequester on the bloated defense budget, the prickish militaristic United States spends more on defense than all other nations combined, Smith opines, “defense is in an incredibly vulnerable position” because budget cuts, which could lead to force reductions and base closings, would “change the equation of power projection.
.... Around the world, “power projection” is, in fact, a central mission of American forces. Smith expressed alarm at the prospect of its diminishment. He asked a question, which was purely rhetorical: “What if, all of a sudden, we don’t have troops in Europe, we don’t have troops in Asia, we are just, frankly, like pretty much every other country in the world?”
Fear not, Congressman. We are still distinguished by our militaristic Congress of Clowns who fancy Empire and all its tarnished glory.
And, my God! What is this freakish obsession with power projection?
