A third strike has been called against Wendy Davis. Dems are trying to stall to prevent a vote to end the filibuster
This is a continuation of my earlier diary here:

It is getting to be a nail biter. The chair has called a third strike against Sen Davis.none of the Dems has appealed. Dems are now flogging the parliamentary minutiae to try to drag things out. 1-1/2 hours to go until the session ends, band ith it the end of the opportunity for Rs to vote on this bill.
The gallery cheered when the appeal was entered. That has caused the chir to threaten o clear the spectators.
There are over 1000 people here in opposition to the abortion bill. Still very high energy.
8:47 PM PT: Internet is very slow because of demand. Looks like Wendy Davis is finished. Now we are waiting to see if other Dems can run out the clock on procedural grounds. The mic is turned off when they gather at the front podium to discuss some of this stuff, which means spectators cannot hear what is happening.
9:12 PM PT: Rs claimed that discussion of ultrasound bills was not germaine to current debate. That was basis for calling third strike, but it has been appealed. We are now in the reds about the appeal to the ustined objection on the grounds of germinness. 49 minutes to o.
9:14 PM PT: Rs claimed that discussion of ultrasound bills was not germaine to current debate. That was basis for calling third strike, but it has been appealed. We are now in the reds about the appeal to the ustined objection on the grounds of germinness. 49 minutes to go. Crowd is restless. Word is that doors to galley have been locked and no one to be allowed in or out until the end. Minimal security present, and they look nervous.
9:27 PM PT: Kirk Watson is doing a great job of talking to death re rules of germainness.
9:37 PM PT: I just moved to the rotunda. Hundreds more people packed in here. Counting down minutes.
10:01 PM PT: It's crazy. Thousands of people are just screaming, trying to run out the clock. It s deafening, and has brought the discussion to a halt
10:05 PM PT: Utterly amazing. The crowd ran down the clock with screaming. Now there is chanting "we won't go back". Most incredible thing I have ever seen.
10:18 PM PT: SHIT.. The Rs managed to force a vote during the screaming, and the bill passed. I got outside the building just as a phalanx of state troopers marched in. No more from me. I will be following nomandates and others.
