I've written many blogs about the abuses corporate capitalism has perpetrated against our country and the definitely outmoded concept that all people are created equal. We've seen companies like Monsanto rig the system so that they can't be sued for their manipulation of genetic material and seen big banks almost bankrupt the nation in the name of profit and inequality. Both political parties have shoved human rights under the rug and under the bus in order to perpetuate the further advancement of privilege and the establishment of an oligarchic state, which I consider to be treason.
Therefore, I accuse you, the corporcratic state, of attempting to destroy our country and establish a nation contrary to the principles of democracy. I recall the words that started the United States of America:
"When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation." So.....
1. The Corpocratic States of America has gradually removed the concept of dignty from the workplace, replacing it with a class system wherein a person's worth is conditioned by his or her ability to consume.
2. The democratic process has been subverted by a system controlled by campaign financing rather than popular will and further this has been accomplished by:
a) legislative bribery leading to gerrymandering of congressional districts and
encourge the destruction of regulatory protection of the public,
b) judicial bribery leading to decisions that put corporations before people and
equate money with speech. leading to disenfranchisement of the poor.
c) executive bribery designed to put pressure on the president to ignore
flagrant abuses of the rights of the people, inculding gathering of personal
data for corporate interests under the excuse of security, and
d) bribery of the media through manipulation of funding to squash investigative
reporting, increase persecution of whistle-blowers and discourage truth.
Few people will debate the incredible influence of big money on our government, but there has not been a suitable investigation into the extent it is the principal cause of media distrust. I submit this is part of a conspiracy to encourage acceptance of corpocracy and distract our citizens with trivia while democracy is diluted by corporate influence.
Under the influence of corpocracy, we have been reduced from the pre-eminent nation in the fields of education, health care and equal protection under the law to a country where we rank 26th in infant mortality, #1 in proportional number of citizens in prison and have seen our reputation as the Beacon of Democracy tarnished and besmirched.
Therefore, I urge the people of the United States, before it is too late, to work within the process to weaken government of the rich, by the rich and for the rich that is gradually, and increasingly, dismantling what was once the hope of the world.
