I remember when LL Cool J took down Kool Moe D with "Jack the Ripper". Then Jay-Z went after Nas in "Takeover." Now, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell has grabbed the mic to deliver some poetic flames to his opponent Democrat Alison Lundergan Grimes.
According to The Washington Post, the intent of the adis to "depict (Grimes) as relentlessly self-promotional." However, it doesn't accomplish this with actual, in-context examples. No, it just edits lots of clips of her saying "me," but the use of personal pronouns is not the exclusive province of people with narcissistic personality disorder.
For a party accused of waging a "War on Women," why wouldn't McConnell's campaign staff advise him to try something unorthodox, such as taking his female candidate seriously? Would he really release an ad painting his male opponent as a self-obsessed bubble head?
Maybe McConnell's campaign staff consists of the team who used to work for Montgomery Burns.
