Pamena's Legendary Hunt:
I thought I'd post a thought up front here on the legendary cloak fight, the next step in the quest chain after you get all 12 Titan Runestones, because it is a bear, at least the healer one is for me, and I thought others might be interested in what's in store for them when they get there. I had heard it was very difficult, so I did all I could to prepare - found a video that featured a shaman healer doing it (here's the link for Karrix and Bemused and all our other resto shamans who might be doing this http://www.youtube.com/... ), read a thread at the forums on how it goes for disc priests (some people think it's a lot easier in holy, so if I can't get it done as disc, I'll switch and see), upgraded a new tier helm I got in raid finder, as well as the Horridon trinket which I also FINALLY got in LFR last week. I just did 3 or 4 tries, to see how it looks, and it is indeed quite difficult, for me and I know from reading, for others as well. Of course, at the forum, there are the usual 'oh I one shot this" people but I think it's challenging, as it should be, for most players.
You have to go visit each of the Celestials with Wratheon, then pick one challenge to try - there's a tanking one, I guess a couple of DPS ones, and the healer one, with Chi'Ji, which is what I'm trying. In this challenge, you have to keep Wratheon alive while he kills a vision of Deathwing (in humanoid form, not in dragon form) - there are adds, and rains of fire or something, and then walls of fire that periodically come out from the sides. I got some good tips from the forum - I lifegripped Wratheon out of the way of the fire walls, for example, instead of blocking them with my body as the fight text tells you, so that's a good way to keep damage down. But the adds just were out of control for me, so that's what I have to figure out next, whether I can mind sear them down while still keeping Wratheon alive. I did determine that even though he's not in my party, I can still heal him with Atonement and all my other tools, so that's good. Anyway, it's an interesting and challenging little fight for a disc priest - I think how hard it is for any healer probably varies by class, as I imagine druids and shaman may have more tools to deal with the adds more easily. Chanta did get it done in one evening, so I know it's possible for disc - I will surely take longer than that, but I'll get it eventually.
