Ok so I'm a little late with my third installment and I never wrote the first one, why don't you furlough me.
My first furlough day was spent getting an account on DailyKos. Which was surprisingly difficult because for some reason I could not receive the confirmation email (no it wasn't in my junk mail folder) through the large corporation that provides my internet service. I eventually figured out I had to use my gmail account. I suspect my ISP considers DailyKos a terrorist organization. Once I activated my account I had to wait the mandatory 1 week before I could write a diary (not even a draft???). I'd be willing to bet that in some states I could buy a hand gun, get a concealed carry permit, and be stalking likely ne'er do wells in less time. Just sayin.
I also didn't write a diary on furlough day 3 which my organization graciously allows me to schedule at my "convenience". So this one is going to be short. Topic: The furloughs end at least temporarily on October 1st. What administrative restrictions will be implemented/continued to prevent government employees from making up for the financial and/or scheduling impacts of the furlough from then until furloughs or Reductions in Force (RIFs, governmentese for layoffs) [likely] begin around the 1st of January? Discuss amongst yourselves.
