As most of you know, the religious right's following is comprised mostly of people who live in a bubble--sending their kids to private or Christian schools or homeschooling them with fundified curricula, reliance on Christian radio and TV for news, and filtered Internet service. As you might expect, this results in people who are seriously removed from reality.
Well, today we got more proof of just how far removed they are. Bryan Fischer claimed that Obama may have been photoshopped after the fact into the now-famous picture of the national security team being briefed in the Situation Room about the raid on Osama bin Laden's compound. No, I'm not kidding.
Fischer argues that since Obama's head is much smaller than those of the others--even those in the back of the room--he probably wasn't there at the time the picture was taken. In Fischer's twisted mind, he thinks Obama didn't want to chance being seen in the picture if the raid failed, and was only added in after it was confirmed bin Laden was dead.
The basis for this? Just Fischer's own words. No photo experts, no nothing. And yet, ten to one a good number of fundies now believe that this is more evidence that Kenyan socialist Mooslim is morally unfit for office. The mind reels.
