I know I've released two diaries already about Senators helping to build a strong grassroots campaign for Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes (D. KY) in her bid to unseat Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R. KY) next year. Well I received another e-mail today regarding grassroots momentum for Grimes campaign but this time it comes from the DSCC Chairman himself, Senator Michael Bennet (D. CO):
What’s going on in Congress right now just isn’t working. We need leaders who can go up against the outside special interest groups and help end the gridlock that’s become business as usual in Washington. And I’d like to tell you about an exciting candidate who can do just that.
Her name is Alison Lundergran Grimes. She’s the Secretary of State in Kentucky, and now running to become a United States Senator.
Alison’s campaign is just getting started, but it’s already shaping up to be one of the toughest races of the cycle. Would you consider helping out Alison by joining her grassroots network right now?

We need Senators who want to bring middle class-rooted, practical solutions to the challenges facing our nation. In Kentucky, Alison has a long track record of doing just that.
When she saw that small businesses were facing undue burdens in permitting and interacting with the government in Kentucky, Alison took action to streamline the process, helping small businesses thrive. When she saw that some voters in her state were having trouble exercising their right to vote, she ushered in new laws to protect them.
Washington is dysfunctional. And Alison is exactly the kind of person we need to help us fix it. She's smart, she knows how work across party lines, and she's committed to ending the gridlock that so often grinds the Senate to a halt.
In short, I know Alison’s got what it takes to make a fantastic Senator. I think you’ll want to keep an eye on her. Sign up to join Alison’s grassroots operation:

Alison has a long road ahead of her -- but she’s a fighter, and I have faith that she can do great work for middle class families across the country.
Thank you for your supporting me, and for taking a moment to support Alison, too:
