So, those sore loser Republican'ts in Texas are making the ludicrous argument that, since Wendy Davis decided to try to prevent them from dishonestly forcing their radical anti-abortion crap down everyone's throats with her filibuster that she “owes” taxpayers $2.5 million?

It sounds to me like Texas Republicans are, basically, saying that Mitch McConnell and his fellow Republican co-conspirators in the Senate, who have engaged in filibuster after filibuster after filibuster ever since Jan. 20, 2009, when President Obama took office, costing taxpayer tens of millions of dollars over the years....owes taxpayers, as well.
Following the logic of McConnell's fellow Republican'ts in Texas, if Wendy Davis allegedly owes taxpayers money for engaging in a one-day filibuster to prevent them from enacting their radical, right-wing extremist agenda, then that means that Mitch McConnell and his Republican co-conspirators owe taxpayers many more millions of dollars for his wasting taxpayer dollars on his obstructionism, including numerous filibusters, over the years.
Okay, Mitch McConnell, even your own fellow Republicans from Texas apparently think that you should live up to your responsibilities and pay taxpayers back for the many millions of dollars that you have wasted with your filibusters over the years. Time to pony up.
Am not sure what the equivalent is for McConnells' costing taxpayer dollars over many years, compared to the one-day alleged cost of $2.5 million by Texas Republicans for needlessly calling another worthless special session. By my rough calculations, Mitch McConnell and his Republican co-conspirators probably owe taxpayers at least $1 billion for all of their filibusters and obstructionism over the years, perhaps more, if you include the harm they have deliberately done to the economy just to try to score political points.
