My turn!
I started reading Daily Kos in 2003, commented a lot in 2004 and wrote about a dozen diaries in 2005, then picked up the pace in 2006 for the midterm elections. At the end of 2006, I became a contributing editor here and started writing full-time for the site in June, 2011. I focus on labor writ large—unions, unemployment, low-wage work, workplace discrimination, policy as it applies to working people—but I also pick up a fair amount of non-work-related war on women stuff these days, as well as other bits and pieces. Additionally, I back up Barb, assigning stories and making decisions about what stories go up when on days she's out.
Barb left me for late in the AMA rotation, it seems, so dare I hope that your tech questions have all been answered in earlier weeks? No? I didn't really think so, but the thing is, I won't know the answers. Per the rules ("ask me anything about Daily Kos") you can ask away, though.
1:22 PM PT: Oh, I have a question for you all: Has anyone been to Europe in August? Is it as bad an idea as the guidebooks say to go to France and Italy at that time of year? If you've had a good experience in Europe in August, where was it?
