Looks like PPP leaked some good news today:

Michelle Nunn begins her Democratic race for U.S. Senate polling ahead of, or tied with, the entire Republican field – but does especially well against U.S. Rep. Paul Broun, R-Athens, according to Public Policy Polling.
U.S. Rep. Phil Gingrey and David Perdue had the best showing against Nunn, a first-time candidate who last month headed up an Atlanta-based firm extolling volunteerism.
The survey by the Democratic-leaning firm in North Carolina is the first since Nunn entered the contest. The automated poll of 520 Georgia voters has a margin of error of +/-4.3 percentage points, and was conducted Aug. 2-4, according to Politico.com, which got first dibs on the crosstabs. - Atlanta Journal-Constitution, 8/6/13
Here are the breakdowns:
Michelle Nunn Vs. Paul Broun 41/36
Michelle Nunn Vs. Phil Gingrey 41/41
Michelle Nunn Vs. Rev. Derrick Grayson 42/36
Michelle Nunn Vs. Karen Handel 40/38
Michelle Nunn Vs. Jack Kingston 40/38
Michelle Nunn Vs. David Perdue 41/41
Michelle Nunn Vs. Eugene Yu 42/35
These are decent numbers but PPP points out that 60% of those polled didn’t know enough about Nunn to express a favorable (20 percent) or unfavorable (19 percent) opinion. Here's some other notes from their poll:
http://thehill.com/...
Nunn's father, former Sen. Sam Nunn (D-Ga.), is still well-liked: 56 percent of voters have a favorable opinion of the longtime lawmaker, with only 12 percent viewing him disapprovingly.
President Obama's unpopularity will be a problem for Nunn, however. Fully 54 percent of voters in the state disapprove of the job he's doing, with 43 percent approving. - The Hill, 8/6/13
So Nunn's best bet is to associate herself more with her father than with Obama. It's interesting that she's tied with Gingrey and Perdue. I would've thought she would be tied or trailing Kingston but that's not the case. If you would like to donate or get involved with Nunn's campaign, you can do so here:
