Oh, how I love diamonds—oh là là! And as it correlates — girls too! Trustingly, there's some synergy in those mutual loves. Hey, a guy not endowed with Cary Grant's good looks needs a diamond or two to attract their 'Best Friend' — ouah!

In case you missed the big story, it's about the 'Carlton' caper — the largest diamond heist ever — $136 million! It occurred a few weeks ago at the famed 'Carlton' hotel in Cannes along the Côte d'Azur (Riviera) where they hold the star-studded Cannes film festival every year (see photo link directly below). And for those film buffs, the Carlton is where Alfred Hitchcock filmed his famous movie 'To Catch a Thief' (1955) with Grace Kelly and Cary Grant. That picture, by the way, had the longest film-kiss ever, and at the time had the censors sizzling in more ways than one — but that's another story.

The reason I mentioned Hitchcock's film, however, was because Cary Grant played the part of the notorious Riviera 'Cat Burglar' (known in the film as 'Robie the Cat'), who is a reformed jewel thief trying to catch the real thief who's copying his old mo (modus operandi). Interestingly this latest Carlton heist, the real one, was actually carried out by a lone jewel thief who obviously knew what he was doing for he got away clean with all the diamonds — the biggest diamond caper in Riviera history!

The reason they're never going to catch this guy, as John Robie (Cary Grant) learned in 'To Catch a Thief', is that this heist (as in the movie) was pulled off by a woman, probably with a big pair of . . . . well, you know what I mean. Obviously, she dressed like a man — but what better disguise. As the world runs around looking for some brazen guy, she bathes luxuriously with her fabulous cache of diamonds. And these are some of the world's most beautiful diamonds and jewelry pieces ever seen — they're actually dazzling! (See 'The Telegraph' article with actual gem photos linked below.)

And for your added pleasure, enjoy Marilyn Monroe singing 'Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend' — and explaining why! However, no explanation is really needed, for Marilyn is a pure electrifying sensual bombshell—without ever even removing her elbow-length gloves! The young starlets of today cannot duplicate that level of sensuality even totally naked!

Oh, by the way, if you're planning on spending a week or two in Cannes — at the Carlton of course — leave your diamonds at home; and please, provide your home address in case your diamonds get lonely!
