Amen! I just saw most of a one-hour speech on the Affordable Care Act that President Obama just finished in Largo, Maryland, which is near D.C.
Here's a story about it: http://nbcpolitics.nbcnews.com/...
I hope somebody can link to a transcript or a video.
It was the best Obama speech I've seen since 2008! He was ON FIRE!
This was not a cautious, vetted by committee, prepackaged speech. This was the president speaking extemporaneously, with no notes and no teleprompter.
And he just totally annihilated Rafael Cruz and the Tea Party Republicans!
Mocked them!
Laughed at them!
Quoted their ridiculous statements, and explained how it's always been that way with Republicans whenever social legislation was enacted.
Quipped that after the ACA is working well in a few years, they won't be calling it Obamacare any more.
Threatened the living daylights out of them for threatening to shut down the government and destroy the full faith and credit of the United States.
If there is one speech you see this year, this was the one.
My wife and I were standing up, cheering.
