Turns out she really is a citizen but does that really matter? Cops get to say things like this to anyone they damn well please, any time and anywhere.

Threaten to Shoot an 11 Year Old.
Police proceeded to shout orders at the sixth grader, believing him to be the window smasher, and he dutifully complied. "After they told me to put my hands in the air, I put my hands on the back of my head," the boy said.
All the while, police kept their weapons trained on Mims, threatening him to get down on the floor and keep still, or else. "They said, 'If you move we will shoot you'," Mims recalled. "I started crying. I was scared. I didn’t know what to do."
After handcuffing, shaking down and interrogating the young middle schooler, officers realized they’d nabbed the wrong person.
One "false" move and an eleven year old could have been dead. As Mim's mother noted
It could have all went a different way and I thank God it didn’t happen like that.

Assault for taking a Tylenol.
...there is no audio in the video. But it is clear enough what is transpiring. Householder put a pill in her mouth and the Summit County sheriff's deputy leaped on her to stop her from swallowing it, obviously thinking she was popping illegal narcotics.
"He said, 'What are you taking?' and I said, Tylenol," Householder recalled. "And he said, ‘Spit it out’ and I said, 'I can’t.' I meant to say I can't spit it out because I had already swallowed the other pills.
"But I didn’t even get that part out before he just yanked me up and threw me down on the ground and was trying to dig these pills out of mouth," Householder elaborated.

Racially Profile a Man Homeowning While Black.
Would anyone ever serious believe this would happen to a white person in Georgia?
The May 2 encounter began when Clayton County police were called to Bin-Wahad’s residence by a neighbor who reported seeing a "suspicious" male on the vacant property...
"When I came out of the house, the first thing I said was that 'I'm moving in. I have the key,'" Bin-Wahad said... "They asked me why was my car in the back. I said, 'It's my house. I was loading boxes.'"
The footage... shows Bin-Wahad eventually sitting down and making no aggressive motions toward the officers before being grabbed by the arm, dragged to the ground and handcuffed. The police report indicates that Bin-Wahad’s head and left shoulder hit a brick wall. The video eventually showed officials leave the scene without arresting Bin-Wahad.
But police get to slam black men into brick walls.

Smash Your Face.
During the arrest, and after he was handcuffed one of the officers smashed his face through the plate glass window of the Hookah Shop at 2491 Ave., cutting his face and slicing open his chest and puncturing his lung...
The 14-year-old boy sat... blood pouring from his chest and filling his lungs, and thought: This is what it's like to die. Moments before... Javier Payne had been smashed through the store's plate glass window by a police officer who had stopped him after an altercation with a man on the street...
The boy was bleeding critically and under arrest.
When EMS paramedics arrived at the scene they found the color draining from Payne’s face, his clothes soaked in blood and his hands cuffed behind his back. A witness described the police officers on the scene as "nonchalant" about the emergency unfolding in front of them.
"He looked like a young man who was facing down his own mortality," said one city employee familiar with the incident. "This is a kid who was staring at his own doom..."
An argument ensued between the paramedics and police about removing the teenager's handcuffs so they could treat his injuries. Initially, the police refused, but eventually relented, witnesses said.
One of the paramedics had to hold the boy's chest wound closed while they rushed him to Jacobi Medical Center. Medical experts said it may have saved Payne's life.
Cops argue about whether to let medical personnel treat a dying 14-year old who they, themselves, injured.

Kill.
the suspect swung the gardening shears at the officers who were standing in close proximity and in danger of being stabbed or slashed. In response to this threat, two officers fired their weapons at the suspect. Emergency medical services arrived shortly after the shooting and pronounced the suspect dead at the scene.
LONER @LisaLonewolf · May 20
Cops in Salinas California shoot to kill a man with garden clippers. 3 times. Point blank. Police work? Or murder?
They kill because they are trained to, because they can think of nothing else to do. Here Salinas cops approach what appears to be a disturbed, confused man; they are shouting, they are antagonistic, they are pointing weapons.
But no one is in immediate danger. The man has garden shears, not a gun. Why not BACK OFF and engage the (now dead) man from a distance, and/or wait for assistance. So many are dead because, as far as I can determine after watching video after video, after reading description after description, the police have no other tactic than direct and immediate confrontation coupled with the notion that it is absolutely impermissible to alow the suspect to "escape."
Because. They. Can. Kill. With Impunity. And. Face No. Consequences. Over. And. Over. Again.
These stories are just some of the insanity that has scrolled across my twitter feed in the last few days.

8:57 AM PT: Update on Salinas killing:
"There's some split-second decisions that have to be made by the officer," Maiorana told the Herald. "When the officer commanded this individual to drop the shears and to get down on the ground, this individual actually attacked the officer with the gardening shears."
According to the paper, though, witnesses — including the 19-year-old college student who captured the video footage of the shooting — disagree. The source of the Herald clip, Yoanna Prieto, said the man appeared to be backing away from police the entire time she was filming.
