Hi everybody and welcome to the Kitchen Table.
May we put our heads together on something? The holidays will be upon us before we know it and it is high time to be thinking about Kos Katalogue for the gift shopping season.
Here is the Kos Katalogue master list from last year -- a compilation of small businesses run by Kossacks and friends. Shopping Kos Katalogue is, in its way, political. It means spending money with the little guy, in the U.S.A., who will immediately spend that money locally. It means supporting jobs made by people for themselves.
It would be desirable to have a spotlight on the Kos Katalogue to point people to shops in time for things to be made and shipped before the holidays, a time when the shop owners can write about their wares and shoppers can write about what Kos Katalogue has meant to them. October would be best, I think -- but I also know that the upcoming election is going to require a lot of attention in the diaries. On the other hand, the shopping diaries could be a welcome counterpoint to election diaries or heavy news and might co-exist quite well...
Any thoughts on how best to approach this?
As always, this is a social diary. Please feel free to share your day, your weekend plans, your menus! The first comment is also the Community Bulletin Board -- please post links of community interest as a reply to that comment.
Kitchen Table Kibitzing is a community series for those who wish to share part of the evening around a virtual kitchen table with kossacks who are caring and supportive of one another. So bring your stories, jokes, photos, funny pics, music, and interesting videos, as well as links—including quotations—to diaries, news stories, and books that you think this community would appreciate. Readers may notice that most who post diaries and comments in this series already know one another to some degree, but newcomers should not feel excluded. We welcome guests at our kitchen table, and hope to make some new friends as well.
