Earlier this week I posted a nugget of truth I found in a Right Wing nut blog. You get more of what you want when you support that and less of what you don't want when you don't support it.
One thing i've feel we need more of is quality food produced in the US, locally preferred.
So, I have started looking. I've found two local farms that sell at local farmers markets and let you buy directly. I've also found a cool web site and pod cast that covers how to cook with local grown food.
They also market cooking items like olive oil that is produced in the US 100%.
Even better none of these places are charging much more than what I can find at Kroger's or non-union stores like walmart.
(i've also started finding what stores are union and which are not, when possible, i'm shopping at the union ones for most of my buying.)
