Oklahoma, having fixed all their problems like teen pregnancy (9th worst), childhood obesity (6th worst ), college degrees (9th worst), etc...we can now focus on pastry shooters.
In March a school in Maryland overreacted and suspended a 7-year-old for chewing a pop tart into the shape of a gun.
To protect the innocent youths of Oklahoma from such swift injustice, State Representative Sally Kern introduced a bill that would not allow kids that chew their food to look like weapons to be punished.
Rep. Sally Kern said Wednesday her measure dubbed the Common Sense Zero Tolerance Act was in response to school districts having policies that are too strict or inflexible. . .
Under Kern's bill, students couldn't be punished for possessing small toy weapons or using writing utensils, fingers or their hands to simulate a weapon. Students also couldn't be punished for drawing pictures of weapons or wearing clothes that “support or advance Second Amendment rights or organizations.”
Yay! Kids can still play cowboys and Indians, cops and robbers and they can
bang bang in safe innocent play at school. They can play with their food without fear of punishment from pesky unionized Godless teachers. They would be able to play with toys class instead of concentrating on school work, all to protect the attack on our most beloved right.
Sally Kern is awesome. Whenever an Oklahoman wants a state rep espouse racism or homophobia.
In 2009 she was among several that gathered at the State Capitol to sign the "Oklahoma Citizen's Proclamation for Morality." They had a sad because the Marxist Atheist Kenyan Muslim in the White House supports gay rights. This proclamation states
Whereas, deeply disturbed that the Office of the president of these United States disregards the biblical admonitions to live clean and pure lives by proclaiming an entire month to an immoral behavior. . .Whereas, we believe our economic woes are consequences of our greater national moral crisis; and Whereas, this nation has become a world leader in promoting abortion, pornography, same sex marriage, sex trafficking, divorce, illegitimate births, child abuse ,and many other forms of debauchery.
In 2010 there was the
Divorce Bill. This was to make it harder to get divorced. What did the bill do?
*No divorce on "compatibility" grounds if couple had kids.
*No divorce if married 10+ years
*No divorce if one spouse doesn't want it
In 2011 she got busted for saying minorities earn less income because they don't work as hard as white people because government will take care of them (thank you white rescuers!)
We have a high percentage of blacks in prison, and that’s tragic, but are they in prison just because they are black or because they don’t want to study as hard in school? I’ve taught school, and I saw a lot of people of color who didn’t study hard because they said the government would take care of them.”
Oh dear God, she taught kids.
Another teacher bill...in 2011 she proposed a bill to
“assist teachers to find more effective ways to present the science curriculum where it addresses scientific controversies” and permit teachers to “help students understand, analyze, critique, and review” the scientific strengths and weaknesses of “existing theories.” But the only topics mentioned in the bill as contestable are “biological evolution, the chemical origins of life, global warming, and human cloning.”
Indoctrinating our kids much?
I'm sure, at least for now, there are no bills to protect one's right to give a wedgie in the state.
