Meet Brad Schimel, embattled Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's choice to be his state's next attorney general:
- Schimel says that if Wisconsin had a ban on interracial marriage, he would defend it in the courtroom. He defends his position by saying that he would do so reluctantly. That's not exactly a great comeback given that his Democratic opponent Susan Happ would enthusiastically refuse to defend it.
- Schimel declined to investigate a state legislator who allowed a wealthy contributor to write legislation for him and defended pay to play by saying: "Why can’t a legislator press for legislation that benefits a person who has contributed to their campaign? Isn’t that the essence of representative government?"
- Schimel has used his campaign coffers as a personal slush fund to cover babysitting costs.
Democrats lost big in 2010, but now it's time to take back the states that we lost. Tea Party governors and legislators are hugely unpopular and Democrats have a chance to win big at the state level this year, especially in Wisconsin with Scott Walker up for re-election. Can you chip in $3 to elect Wisconsin Democrats?

- Schimel declined to prosecute an attorney for a Walker aide after that attorney destroyed documents from the aide's computer in the middle of the criminal investigation into Walker's fundraising practices.
- Schimel has the enthusiastic endorsement of Scott Walker, who calls him "a tireless advocate for public safety" and says Wisconsin needs "Brad Schimel in Madison as the state's top cop."
They say you can tell a lot about a person from their friends, so Walker better hope people aren't paying attention.
